Her interest started with a passion for accessibility after researching language acquisition in hard-of-hearing children. This experience inspired her to study American Sign Language and to volunteer as a residential camp counselor for individuals with developmental disabilities. to better understand and interact with the community. After working with individuals of all ages reliant on mobility-assistance-devices was when she developed a passion for orthopedics. Her diverse experiences—from performing arts and scientific research to advocacy and organizational leadership—have greatly influenced the legacy she aim to create in the field of orthopedics. She strives to be an innovative leader, promoting considerate and patient-centered healthcare practices through vested interest in research, teaching, and mentorship. She is eager to join a residency program where she can continue to be challenged, grow as a surgeon, and contribute to a team dedicated to restoring patients’ mobility and independence.
